HATTIESBURG, Mississippi (AP) — One person is dead and another is in the hospital after a wreck on Highway 49, north of the south gate of Camp Shelby.
Hattiesburg Police spokesman, Lt. Jon Traxler, tells WDAM-TV (http://bit.ly/1w35Wqk ) that two vehicles were involved in Monday’s crash — one driven by a state trooper.
Traxler says the trooper was sent to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The other person did not survive the crash.
Traxler says the names of those involved will be released after their families have been notified.
