George County supervisors awarded MDA site development grant

JACKSON, Mississippi (AP) — The Mississippi Development Authority has awarded site development grants to eight economic development groups throughout the state.

The MDA matching grant program is designed to help with site preparation to attract industries to an area.

The funding is a one to one match.

Awards of up to $25,000 are provided to a single county government or agency and up to $35,000 for multi-county agencies.

The recipients are: Tate County Economic Development Foundation, The Alliance of Corinth/Alcorn County, the Greater Grenada Foundation of Economic Development, RankinFirst Economic Development Authority, Choctaw County Economic Development District, Jefferson Davis County Board of Supervisors, Marion County Development Partnership and the George County Board of Supervisors.
