Blue Springs woman killed in train, car wreck

generic_graphic_train_accident_crashMYRTLE, Mississippi (AP) — A 51-year-old Blue Springs woman has died in a wreck involving a train in Union County.

Union County Coroner Pam Bowman says Nina Lyles was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at a railroad crossing in Myrtle.

Bowman said Lyles was crossing the tracks Wednesday when the train and her vehicle collided.

Sheriff Jimmy Edwards says his office and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad are investigating the collision.
