PORTLAND, Arkansas (AP) — The car of a missing Mississippi man has been found in southeastern Arkansas.
Arkansas State Police said Thursday that the car belonging to 29-year-old Robert Ross of Jackson, Miss., was found April 1 along State Highway 160 east of Portland near the Ashley-Chicot County line — but there has been no sign of Ross.
State police say evidence found inside the car lead them to suspect foul play.
Authorities say Ross disappeared March 28 after picking up a payroll check in Jackson and leaving for Arkansas to apparently visit a friend.
