SLIDELL, Louisiana (AP) — State police are investigating the death of an unidentified pedestrian suspected to be the victim of a hit and run crash along Interstate 10 in St. Tammany Parish.
Sgt. Nick Manale says the male victim was discovered by a motorist shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday in the grass along the westbound lanes of I-10 approximately three miles west of the Louisiana/Mississippi state line.
Manale says investigators suspect the crash may have occurred around 2 a.m. He says the victim was walking near or on the right white fog line when he was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle.
