From The Mississippi Link Newswire

JACKSON – A Bolivar County nurse has been arrested and charged with taking drugs from patients at the hospice center where she worked.

Linda T. Kittle, 56, of Cleveland, a registered nurse (RN) and formerly Director of Nursing at Grace Community Hospice in Hollandale, turned herself in to Bolivar County authorities on March 25.

Her arrest follows indictment by the Bolivar County Grand Jury on two counts of  “obtaining a controlled substance by means of fraud…”  The indictment alleges in each count that Kittle took possession of 60 tablets of the drug Oxycodone, a controlled substance, by obtaining a physician’s prescription for a patient, filling it at a local pharmacy and then converting it to her own use.

Kittle waived arraignment on the indictment, entered a plea of not guilty, and was released on her own recognizance pending trial.

If convicted, she faces up

to 10 years behind bars.
