Plans set for business conference for women & minorities

JACKSON – The Mississippi World Trade Center, in collaboration with the Mississippi Development Authority’s (MDA) International Trade Bureau and Minority & Small Business Development Division, the U.S. Small Business Administration and Huntington Ingalls Industries, will host the 2012 International Small Business Conference for Women & Minorities on July 26-27 at the Courtyard Marriott Beachfront in Gulfport.

Designed for small companies who want to learn more about international trade, the conference will feature speakers from Mississippi, Louisiana and Canada and will highlight global business issues and introduce attendees to public and private sources of export assistance.

The conference is open to all small companies.

Mississippi small businesses interested in attending the conference may be eligible for grant assistance through the U.S. Small Business Administration-funded Mississippi State Trade Export Promotion (STEP) Program to defray the cost of attending the event.
