A reception and awards program will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at the Mississippi Arts Center to showcase the work of visual arts students at Power APAC. Student art is on display at the center through April 30. This is a juried exhibition with awards to be presented during the reception, thanks to the Power APAC adopter, the Jones Walker law firm. The awards will be presented at 2 p.m.
The Academic and Performing Arts Complex (APAC) is open to students in grades 4-12 who are academic achievers or who show aptitude for one or more of the performing arts, including music, dance, theatre, and visual arts.
The Mississippi Arts Center is located at 201 East Pascagoula Street.
