Hawkins Field Seeks Public Input For Improvements

(Jackson, MS) The Jackson Municipal Airport Authority (JMAA) invites the public and members of the media to participate in a workshop for a Master Plan study of the Hawkins Field airport. The meeting will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at the Jackson Medical Mall Community Meeting Room, 350 West Woodrow Wilson Drive, Jackson, MS. A consultant team headed by Barge Waggoner Sumner and Cannon, Inc. will identify future facility needs for Hawkins Field and be available for further input from the community.

“At this meeting, the public can make recommendations for enhancing the airport over the next 20 years. The Master Plan will create a roadmap to positive, long-term improvements to Hawkins Field. We welcome the public to share their ideas and comments,” said Dirk B. Vanderleest, JMAA Chief Executive Officer.
