LIBERTY – After three months of surveillance, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics arrested an entire family from Amite County on drug charges. Forty-six year old Gregory Leon Graves, his wife Mona, 50, and their 18-year old son, John, were all taken into custody by the MBN.

WLBT reported that Gregory was charged resisting arrest and two counts of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm; Mona was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana; and John was charged with possession of methamphetamine.

The Graves family was taken into custody at the Amite County Jail where they were awaiting their initial court appearance.

The MBN also arrested a couple from Wilkinson County on similar charges. Arrested were Daniel Huff, Sr., 42, and his girlfriend, Fairy Nettles, 35.

Huff was charged with conspiracy to possess methamphetamine and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, while Nettles was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana.

Huff and Nettles were transported to the Wilkinson County Jail where they are also waiting for a court appearance.

Both raids netted about seven grams of crystal meth with a street value of $800 and an undisclosed amount of marijuana, WLBT said. The MBN also seized 36 firearms, including sawed-off shotguns, assault rifles and pistols from both premises.
